The Hub of Detroit is a fantastic organization.  They’ve evolved from their humble beginnings as Back Alley Bikes, a 2000 Detroit Summer program, to a fully-stocked bicycle shop and repair center which hosts regular events for people of all ages.

They have numerous programs, including bicycle repair workshops and bicycle giveaways for youth.

On May 21st, after their Youth Earn-a-Bike program closes for the day, they are going to go on a group ride.  Volunteers are needed to help corral the large group and to demonstrate good biking behavior.  Helmets are required for all participants.  Check out their website for more information and additional volunteer opportunities.
