I’ll be making the rounds on behalf of Woodward Press this fall. This is the first year we’ve really turned our attention to local book fairs and workshops, so I am very much looking forward to this year.
Some of the events I’m hoping to attend are still in the planning stages, but here’s what we have confirmed so far:
Sunday, 9/11/16 – KERRYTOWN BOOKFEST
Woodward Press has an exhibitor’s table at the annual Kerrytown BookFest. This event celebrates all aspects of Michigan book culture. I’ll be there not only to promote Woodward Press’ services but to sell some of our clients’ and authors’ books. You’ll also be able to pick up a limited edition Lemonade Songs: Tales of Detroit and Other Things booklet!
Saturday, 10/15/16 – MARKETING BEFORE & AFTER PUBLICATION (workshop)
The Detroit Working Writers are hosting a workshop that I’ll be running on marketing your independently published book before & after publication. Fiction and non-fiction writers will get the most out of this workshop, but I’ll have a few tips that can be applied to writers in any field. This event will be held at Shield’s Pizza in Troy. The cover charge is $11.54 for DWW members and $16.82 for non-members (including ticketing fees). You can register and get more information here.
